This session will examine different communication styles around the world. We'll review cross-cultural competence according to the Lewis Model, discuss cultural characteristics of Latino, American, and other cultures, and the effect language has on individuals. The goal of the session is to help attendees understand the correlation between language and other factors associated with one's culture, as well as to increase awareness and competence in cross-cultural communication.
